Again, you must be 18 years old or older with a valid U.S. driver's license to apply for an IDP.
Both agencies thoroughly outline their application requirements on their forms, but basic application instructions include:
Completing the appropriate IDP application.
AAA application.
AATA application.
Presenting your valid U.S.-issued driver's license.
If the agency allows you to apply by mail, you must send a photocopy of both sides of your driver's license.
Producing (or mailing) 2 photos of yourself.
These photos must be passport-sized and signed on the back.
Making the applicable payment.
Payments vary depending on the shipping method, destination, and processing time and are listed on the applications.
Correctly submitting your application.
Generally, you can submit your application and other documents in person or via mail; inquire about online submission options with the specific agency.

Avoiding IDP Fraud

Gathering such information from across the globe can seem intimidating, so your safest bet is to check with the country's embassy or consulates within the United States. You can find the appropriate embassy on the State Department's guide to Web Sites of Foreign Embassies in the U.S., and if these agencies can't provide you with driving regulations, they can point you in the direction of where to find them.
Foreign Drivers in the United States
You must have a valid driver license to drive in the United States—especially if you plan to rent a car, which is common among foreign visitors.
However, requirements for holding International Driving Permits and other official documents vary by state; some require them and some don't. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) teamed up to sponsor the most rigorous and respected apprenticeship training program. We are a five-year apprenticeship program of classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of on the job training, dedicated to training electricians. Our program is committed to providing enrichment opportunities for our students and educational excellence.
Our classroom instructors are highly qualified and most are electricians who work in the field. Over the past ten years, we have been aggressive in providing our instructors with the skills they need to succeed in the classroom. Our instructors, each summer, attend the National Training Institute (NTI) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This instructor training program employs Professional Educators from different colleges and universities throughout the United States. This is a four-year program receiving a completion diploma as a Master Instructor. While the focus is on Instructor training through the Professional Education classes and the “How to Teach” courses, there is also advanced technical courses our instructors are required to take. This week long training re-energizes our program with qualified educators who are ready to make a difference and be accountable for providing innovative and creative instruction. Being prepared to teach when we walk through the classroom door with clear objectives of what we want our students to learn is the key to our student’s success in this program. Our goal as a program is to foster a positive learning environment by giving our instructors the tools needed to enhance their presentation of the curriculum. The apprentices recognize our instructors truly care about their learning. Our staff of educators is the core of the apprenticeship program as they provide a learning environment that enhances the effective execution of the lessons being taught. There is enjoyment in the classroom.
Along with our apprenticeship training, we offer Journeyman upgrade classes, Supervision, OSHA 10, MSHA, CPR/First Aid, Electrical Safety in the Workplace based on 70E, and online courses.
The Tucson Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee has been training skilled apprentice electricians since 1941 with our sponsoring parties, Southern Arizona Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association NECA, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 570 IBEW, the Electrical Training Alliance, the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Office of Apprenticeship, and the United States Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship.

Length of Program: Five years
Apprentices will work for electrical contractors in the field, 40 hours a week
Completion of apprenticeship is 8,000 On-the-Job Training hours and a total of 900 hours of related classroom instruction over the five years (When work is available & our contractors call for apprentices) Classes will be held two nights per week for three hours. (Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs)
No tuition
Must pay for your own books: average cost $600 per year
Starting pay: 50% of Journeyman Wireman rate
Pay upgrades are granted when school hours and On-the-Job Training hours for that period are complete

An Approach to Teaching Genetics

My goal in this edition, as in previous editions, is to provide students with a clear and logical presentation of the material, in combination with an experimental theme that makes clear how we know what we know. The many examples of experiments used to answer questions and test hypotheses are models that show students how they might themselves develop questions and hypotheses, and design experiments. It is my hope that you will find my approach helpful to you in teaching this course successfully, as have so many colleagues who have used past editions. The general features of iGenetics: A Molecular Approach, Third Edition, are as follows:
Modern Coverage. The field of genetics has grown rapidly in recent years. In creating this text I have worked with experts in the field to ensure that we present these exciting developments with the highest degree of accuracy. The book covers all major areas of genetics, balancing classical and molecular aspects to give students an integrated view of genetic principles. The classical genetics material tends to be abstract and more intuitive, while the molecular genetics material is more factual and conceptual. Knowing the sequence of musical notes is basic to understanding how to play music. On a bass guitar, each note (including sharps, #, and flats, ♭ó) is one fret, or a half step, away from the note next to it. Knowing how to read music is not nearly as important to bass players as it is for classical musicians. However, if you have a basic understanding of chords and scales and memorize the order of the notes for your bass guitar, it will go a long way toward helping you know how to place your fingers when someone shouts for an “E” or an “A.”
Basic and 7th Chords, Modes, and Solo Scales for Bass Guitar
In order to play bass guitar well, you need to acquaint yourself with some important chords and modes (scales). A basic understanding of music will help you master these approaches, but here’s an overview of what you need to know:
Basic chords, or triads: These consist of the three most important notes of any musical scale: root (1st), 3rd, and 5th. You can find the notes for the triad by playing any scale up to the 5th note, skipping every other note.
7th chords: A 7th chord has one more note than the triad — the 7. The sound of a 7th chord is a little more complex than the sound of a triad, and it’s extensively used in contemporary music.
Modes, or scales: In almost all songs, one mode (scale) predominates. Mode is simply a fancy word for a musical scale. Know the mode you’re playing in, and you’re well on your way to providing great bass lines for any song.
Solo scales: A solo scale is exactly what it sounds like — a scale you play when you’re soloing or the featured player in a band. Solos are usually reserved for traditional melody instruments, such as saxophones, but bassists are also asked to perform solos on occasion.
Following is a readily accessible diagram of the most important chords and modes for your bass playing endeavors. The open circles on each diagram represent the root of a chord or scale — the starting point for your fingers. The black dots represent the chord- and scale-tones.
You only need three strings to complete an octave, thus the three string diagrams presented here — even though your bass has four or more strings.
Strengthening the Left Hand to Increase Bass Playing Versatility
For bass guitar players, a strong and limber left hand makes playing the bass more comfortable and enjoyable, and it helps in tackling complex chords and scales. A good exercise for the left hand is the following permutation exercise:
